(4624) Overirrigation
Irrigation that exceeds the actual requirements, either due to excessive doses of water or to an insufficient irrigation interval or to an overestimation of the requirements (lesser evapotranspiration or more precipitation than normal). It may cause leaching of nutrients or salts from a sufficiently drained soil, or waterlogging of poorly drained soils.
